Michael Hughes Executive Vice President, Global Sales and Business Development Michael has over 20 years of experience with Fortune 500 consumer lending organizations and leading providers of advanced analytic and technology solutions. Prior to joining BasePoint, Hughes was senior director for the consumer risk and fraud solutions group at SAS where he led new business and product development, while also driving sales and customer management. Prior to joining SAS, Hughes was senior vice president of sales at Cyota Corporation, an online risk and fraud solutions provider for the financial services industry. Previously, Hughes was a member of the founding management team of ID Analytics where he helped to develop identity risk management solutions for the consumer market. In addition, he spent six years at HNC Software as the director of strategic sales and business development. Before transitioning to the solution service industry, Hughes held senior management roles for nine years in consumer risk management for Advanta Corporation, a financial services and monoline bankcard issuer. During his tenure at Advanta, he launched a new bankcard business in the United Kingdom, serving as director of a joint venture between the Royal Bank of Scotland and Advanta. He also supported Advanta's European expansion into Germany, Spain and France and led the joint venture development in Canada. Hughes holds a Bachelor of Science degree in management science and a minor in quantitative methods from Philadelphia University. Back to Management |
